Family history problem

Do you ever get the feeling like extended family really does not care? Here’s my problem. We are all getting old and I want to document as many family stories as I can. I have some information from way back and a few pics of the old days before my time. I know there are pics and information out there. I asked for some to share what they have and I have got zero replies. Not one comment about it. I understand that everyone has there own life but for gods sake, a thanks but no thanks reply would have been appreciated. I don’t know why I even care about this stuff. I might just table this one. When I check out, so be it. Gone. Case closed.
